This savory meat pie is filled with a flavorful mixture of pork and spices, making it a popular dish during the holiday season.
Ingredients
☐1 lb ground pork (450g)
☐1 lb ground beef (450g)
☐1 onion, chopped
☐2 cloves garlic, minced
☐1 tsp allspice
☐1 tsp cinnamon
☐1/2 tsp salt
☐2 pie crusts
☐1 egg, beaten (for glaze)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until transparent.
Add the ground meats and cook until browned.
Stir in spices and seasonings, then let cool.
Place one pie crust in a pie dish, fill with meat mixture.
Cover with the second crust, seal edges, and cut slits on top.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
