A traditional Quebec meat pie made with a savory blend of meats and spices, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
☐1 lb ground pork (450 g)
☐1 lb ground beef (450 g)
☐1 onion, finely chopped
☐1 tsp thyme
☐1/2 tsp cinnamon
☐2 cups pie crust (500 g)
☐1 egg, beaten for wash
☐Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground meats and onion until browned.
Add thyme, cinnamon, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish.
Fill with the meat mixture and cover with another crust.
Brush the top with beaten egg.
Bake for 45 minutes until golden.
