This creamy risotto features the rich taste of Quebec maple syrup, making it a unique side dish or main course. A comfort food classic with a twist!
Ingredients
☐1 cup arborio rice (200 g)
☐4 cups chicken broth (1 L)
☐1/2 cup maple syrup (125 ml)
☐1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
☐1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (50 g)
☐Salt to taste
☐1/4 cup chopped green onions (30 g)
Directions
In a saucepan, heat the chicken broth over low heat.
In another pan, sauté the arborio rice in a little butter until translucent.
Gradually add the hot broth, one ladle at a time, stirring frequently.
Once the rice is al dente, stir in maple syrup and cream.
Add Parmesan cheese and green onions, mixing well before serving.
