These chewy maple cookies are sweetened with pure maple syrup and are perfect for a cozy afternoon treat alongside a cup of tea.
Ingredients
☐1 cup all-purpose flour (125 g)
☐1/2 tsp baking soda (2 g)
☐1/4 tsp salt (1.5 g)
☐1/2 cup butter, softened (113 g)
☐1/2 cup brown sugar (100 g)
☐1/4 cup maple syrup (60 ml)
☐1 egg
☐1/2 tsp vanilla extract (2.5 ml)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light.
Mix in maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
