These sushi rolls are infused with local flavors, using smoked salmon and maple syrup. Perfect for a unique dining experience at home.
Ingredients
☐2 cups sushi rice (400g)
☐2 1/2 cups water (600ml)
☐4 sheets nori seaweed
☐8 oz smoked salmon (225g)
☐1/2 cup cucumber, julienned (75g)
☐1/4 cup cream cheese (60g)
☐2 tbsp maple syrup (30ml)
☐Soy sauce for dipping
☐Pickled ginger (optional)
Directions
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to instructions.
Let rice cool slightly before handling.
Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat and spread a thin layer of rice.
Add smoked salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Roll tightly and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.
