Ingredients
☐1 lb elbow macaroni (450 g)
☐4 cups milk (1 L)
☐1 cup cheddar cheese, grated (100 g)
☐1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (50 g)
☐1/4 cup butter (60 g)
☐1/4 cup all-purpose flour (30 g)
☐1 tsp mustard powder (5 g)
☐Salt and pepper to taste
☐1/2 cup breadcrumbs (50 g)
☐2 tbsp parsley, chopped (30 g)
Directions
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and mustard powder, then gradually add milk until smooth.
Stir in cheeses and season with salt and pepper until melted and creamy.
Combine the macaroni with the cheese sauce, then transfer to a baking dish.
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
