This pork tenderloin is slowly braised in apple cider, creating a tender and flavorful dish that represents Quebec's love for apples.
Ingredients
☐2 lbs pork tenderloin
☐2 cups apple cider
☐1 onion, sliced
☐2 apples, sliced
☐2 tbsp Dijon mustard
☐2 tbsp olive oil
☐Salt and pepper to taste
☐Fresh thyme for garnish
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until browned.
Remove pork and add onions and apples to skillet, cooking until softened.
Return pork to skillet and add cider and mustard.
Cover and bake in the oven for 1 hour.
Let rest for 10 minutes, slice, and serve with thyme.
