A unique savory pie combining ground beef with the sweetness of maple syrup.
Ingredients
☐1 lb ground beef (450 g)
☐1 onion, chopped
☐1/2 cup maple syrup (125 ml)
☐1 tbsp Dijon mustard (15 ml)
☐1 tsp thyme (5 ml)
☐2 cups pie crust, rolled (500 g)
☐Salt and pepper to taste
☐1 egg, beaten for glaze
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned.
Stir in the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish.
Fill with the beef mixture, cover with another crust, and seal edges.
Brush with beaten egg and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
