This hearty fish pie features a savory filling of fresh fish and potatoes, encased in a flaky pie crust. It's a comforting dish for any occasion.
Ingredients
☐1 lb (450 g) white fish (e.g., cod or haddock), cooked
☐2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
☐1 onion, chopped
☐1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh dill
☐1 tsp (5 g) salt
☐1/2 tsp (2 g) black pepper
☐1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
☐1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, then drain.
In a bowl, mix the fish, potatoes, onion, dill, salt, and pepper.
Place the pie crust in a pie dish and fill with the fish mixture.
Cover with another layer of crust and seal the edges.
Brush the top with beaten egg.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
